Hi guys,

I'm using the Serial Port I/O (Input / Output) DLM that can be find in
the ITT web page in the "code library" section.

In the following post some people had a discussion about it:
http://groups.google.com/group/comp.lang.idl-pvwave/browse_t hread/thread/a08b0e507c960a95/47b7dd0e520144fa?lnk=gst&q =serial+port#47b7dd0e520144fa

The original C code can be also found here: http://imac-252a.stanford.edu/programs/IDL/idl_serial/

It seems that the DLM only works under Windows and I'm wondering WHY ?
It seems that there are some ways to recompile the source code
depending on the IDL version but always under Windows.
Taking in a count that this a simple C code I suppose that there is a
way to use the DLM under LINUX. But how ?
Is it possible ?
Do you have some ideas or suggestions ?
Thank you !
nata
