Forgive me, I'm lazy this week.

However, I was checking out the ENVI 4.7 SP1 webnar earlier this week
and ITTVIS introduced their new Optimized Linear Stretch image
enhancement. What caught my interest was its ability to enhance
features in the shade. I have issue during different parts of the year
of shadows hiding ground points in my satellite imagery.

Does anyone know a location for a description of the Optimized Linear
Stretch algorithm? My initial Google search is coming up empty. If
not, I'll bug ITTVIS at their IDL User Group Conference later this
month.
