I was just informed by a sales rep at ITT that the company will no
longer sell or support the DICOM toolkit. This is a major problem for
me. I just purchased an IDL license to manipulate DICOM images. I need
to be able to write DICOM files. Does anyone know a third party work
around which would allow me to write DICOM files?

Thanks,
Mardis

+1 for GDLffDICOM.

I use it in about 90% of my Nuc Med/PET applications.

Hi Robbie,

the link points to

http://www.barnett.id.au/idl/download/dicom170606.tar.gz

and results in page not found :-(
Could you please update the link or provide it here?
Thanks!
Oliver

Hi,
You can always try GDLffDICOM. This works exactly the same as
IDLffDICOM except that it has a ::SetElement, ::Assoc and ::Commit
method.
You can write directly to an uncompressed DICOM image using the assoc
method, which turns out to be many times faster than other libraries.
