Hi to all of you
I've just installed the new Aquamacs 2.0 in my Mac Os X 10.6.3 and I'm
an happy user of IDLWAVE on Aquamacs.
Unfortunately I run into a problem which I can't understand.
I used in my configuration file to put the following (setq idlwave-
surround-by-blank t)
for the beautiful space around operator. This used to work till
Aquamacs 2.0 preview b3 (third beta release)
from that on, it stops to work and every time I type an operator (the
same for '=' '<' '>' etc) I got the following message

Debugger entered--Lisp error: (void-variable idlwave-expand-equal)
(lambda nil (interactive) (self-insert-command 1) idlwave-expand-
equal -1 -1)()
call-interactively((lambda nil (interactive) (self-insert-command 1)
idlwave-expand-equal -1 -1) nil nil)

I can't really understand. I've tried also to load Aquamacs without
customization and I find the same problem and catch the same error.
I'm not sure this is the correct group to post but I've reported the
bug to Aquamacs developer but they are unable to reproduce it
regards
nicola

This was a bug introduced by Emacs developers into the IDLWAVE code,
which unfortunately (despite my best efforts) made it into the Emacs
23.2 release. You can simply install another version of IDLWAVE
separately to fix it. There is a new version of IDLWAVE with lots of
cleanups and new features (including direct keyword help links in the
soon-to-be-obsoleted IDL-Help-of-the-Day flavor), but I dare not
predict a release given how overdue it is already.
