We just upgraded one of our alpha workstations to Digital Unix 4.0 (with
the new CDE) and are suddenly getting "Cannot allocate colormap entry for
#xxxx" messages. In at least one case the result is that button labels
(and even the buttons themselves) are invisible. The workstation is being
used only as the X server. (The client nodes are an HP system and a VMS
alpha. In the latter case, IDL is v4.0.1.) Does anyone have experience
with solving this problem with DU 4.0 and IDL 4.0[.1]?

TIA,
Dave
