Hi All,

I've searched through the manual and as far as I can see there doesn't
appear to be a way to set the group of a file (on UNIX system) from
IDL. Using file_chmod I can change the UNIX permissions, and using
file_info I can see whether the file has a group specified, but I
can't seem to be able to specify what group I want a file to belong
to.

Does anyone know a way to do this in IDL?

Thanks.
