Does anyone know if there is a procedure already written to put a
double-precise array as a table on a fits file?

The procedure 'writefits, h, array' will place the array inside a
fits file as an image array but this is cannot be read by the
small selection of ftools available to me.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
