CDF routines for GDL? [message #72732]

Does anyone know of an implimentation of the CDF IDL routines useable
in GDL (for instance IDL language routines rather than the compiled
internal ones IDL uses)? Specifically I really just need CDF_EPOCH.

Apologies if GDL is not something people like to talk about in this
group.

Interesting point. Does external DLM code linked against the ITTVIS
libraries really work with GDL? I would be very surprised but am
curious to find out. Haje

You may be able to call the Geopack DLM from GDL

I just put in the GDL CVS the interface for NCDF_EPOCH.
I have not time now to finish this code it-self, but if someone
send it to me or post it here, I will put it ASAP in the CVS
(links to the useful C functions are in the code,
take care that the EPOCH in C (1970) is different than the IDL one !!)

Unfortunately this function is now not available in GDL.
(contributions welcome)

I realized I forgot to put procedures and functions related to NetCDF
in my supplementary list. Now this list is upgraded here:

The examples related to NetCDF in IDL/GDL syntax here
