ENVI and IDL ROIs: Do they play nice? [message #72751]

IDL has utilities for creating, displaying, processing and saving
ROIs. ENVI has utilities for doing the same things. Is it possible
to read in an ENVI-created ROI file (*.roi) in IDL?

I've spent some time searching the help and the forum, and have come
up with nada. XROI doesn't read in ROI files and I didn't see an
"Restore" methods for the IDLanROI object. A point in the right
direction would be very helpful.
