Hi all,
I'm close to my wit's end here. Being a died-in-the-wool
emacs user, I naturally hit ctrl-D to delete a character. Unfortunately,
IDL uses this to exit, and since old (and still used) habits die hard,
I find myself continually killing my IDL sessions without intending to.
Is there any way to change the binding of ctrl-D to something useful
(like delete-char)? For that matter, is there some way of changing
all the control sequences to be more emacs-like? I've RTFM, but haven't
had much luck doing what I'm after. For what it's worth, I run IDL
4.0.1, both on a Sun (Solaris 2.5.1) and Linux (1.2.8). Thanks.
Mike
