Just about to give a series of lectures on Image Processing to an MSc.
class and was going over my slides yesterday, checking, editing and
updating. One of them says that the help in IDL is a pretty good source
of how to get some things done so I thought I'd better check that 8.0
has the same resources as 7 did, but as far as I can tell the IDL Users'
Guides sections aren't there any more. Notably for my purposes the
Image Processing one.
I still have 7.1 installed so I can get them there, but for anyone
putting a fresh install of 8.0 on, are these available? And if not, why
not? And if they are, why aren't they easy to find any more?
