Hi all,
This is a question for you IDL DAOphot users out there. Does anyone
have a routine to generate SHARPness and ROUNDness statistics when
given an image and a list of centroids? I tried adapting the relevant
part of FIND, but my numbers don't match those given by FIND.
Basically what I want to do is this. I'm performing image
subtraction, running FIND on the difference images, and then I'd like
to check the sources that I FIND in the difference image against the
sharpness and roundness computed from the original image (since in the
difference image those statistics are a lot less meaningful, if at
all). However, the sources I FIND in the difference image will not
necessarily be FOUND in the original image because they may be
extremely faint, so I can't guarantee matches.
