Paulo,

How does one tell if it's trying to use OpenGL or not. I'm just using
standard plot, polygon functions with the new graphics system. At any
rate, this seems to make a difference,
I haven't had a crash yet.... Seems a tad slower but for what I'm
doing acceptable... I think I'll be switching back and forth between
new and old graphics for while..

Thanks very much!

Axel

I meant, of course: "Is IDL trying to use hardware OpenGL?".

Is IDL is trying to use OpenGL? If so, it may help to set it to use
software rendering.
