H5G - execution halted [message #75031]

Hi everyone

I have a problem which has only recently begun to occur on all 3 of my
machines (windows XP) using both IDL 6.4 and IDL 7.1.
When I try to use H5G_GET_NMEMBERS the program just seems to fail
giving me the execution halted message after printing something like
"H5G_GET_NMEMBERS: : Object ID:201326624".
In IDL 7.1, IDL just closes.

Does anyone have any ideas why this is suddenly happening? It's
causing me all sorts of issues trying to run some programs that I have
acquired from others....
