Folks,

I am announcing today a pre-publication release of my new
IDL book, Coyote's Guide to Traditional IDL Graphics,
in PDF format. This is a draft release. Final book edits
have not been made, there will be be typos, there will be
bad page breaks, and the book currently does not have an
index.

This is primarily for those of you who have been hounding
me to get something for sale. I do not yet know the final
price of this book, but it will be more than the pre-publication
price of $49.95. Purchase now, and you will get a final PDF
version whenever it is available. (March 2011, probably.)

I had hoped to have a new store experience available
for the release of this book, and that hasn't happened
yet, so the only options for payment are to use PayPal,
which will process any major credit card and does not
require a PayPal account. Or, you can chose the "Print
Order" payment method and fax your credit card
information to me directly and I will handle it personally
for you. You will find my fax number on the Order Form.

Many, many people helped in the production of this book,
and I am grateful to all of them. I am especially grateful
to the people who participate in this newsgroup. This book
is really for you, because it was you I had in mind every
minute as I was writing it.

There have been many changes on my web page, some things
are still not in place, etc. There will be glitches with
this. Please let me know if you have any problems, can't
find things, etc. And, please, please, let me know when
you find typos. I know I can't get rid of them all, but
I try to be as diligent as possible!

Cheers,

David
