Does anyone one have any suggestions for a plotting software
like IDL (for linux), but less expensive. All i need is just x-y
and surface (z=f(x,y)) plots. Nothing fancy in data massaging
or anything. regular IDL is just too expensive for home use.

Free software is even more welcome, but i don't mind a small
charge either. Is gnuplot any good ?

TIA
