IDL: polyfill and clipping ?? [message #754]

Is there a way to force POLYFILL to plot only *within* the plot window?
It seems, that POLYFILL completely ignores clipping boundaries.

I'm working on a RS6000-320 with 'IDL. Version 3.0.0 (AIX ibmr2).'

Any hints are *very* welcome,
