Yes, I couldn't get my book cover designer to use any
of the following, more descriptive words: "old", "ancient",
"archaic". We finally settled on "traditional."

If you want information on how to use the IDL 8 graphics
system, you are better off resorting to prayer. ITTVIS
wishes to keep this information secret. :-)

Cheers,

David

P.S. It could be that IDL 8 graphics are so internally
complicated that no one really knows *how* they work, but
I prefer to use Occam's Razor when looking for an solution. :-)

No no - the whole point of the library is that it works
with IDL pre-8.0! It's called "traditional" graphics for
a reason... ;)

Your book is in route, Bernat. Thanks! :-)

Cheers,

P.S. Bernat had one of his IDL images prominently
displayed on the book cover!

Congratulations!

I didn't know you were expecting. Will the "office" wall paint be
cgColor("pink") or cgColor("blue")?

Wait. Maybe you were talking about an extra room for the books. That's
seems more likely.
