Dear all,
I am bit confused what to do for the interpolation of
the data set.
I have two data set one in observed spectrum in which i have two
columns and other is synthetic spectrum with two columns.
In data set one the column 1st is irregular which is the wavelength
corresponding to that i have flux.
total no. of rows = 3381
In data set two again column 1st is irregular which is the wavelength
corresponding to that i have flux. but in this data set the total no.
of rows=93677.But the wavelength are not at the same interval
(resolution) as in the data set one.
hence I want to interpolate the flux of the second data set
corresponding to wavelength of data set one.

I have used the function named INTERPOL and INTERPOLATE but it is
showing me the following error.

"Result = INTERPOL(flux of 2nd data set,wavelength of 2nd data
set, wavelength of first data set ,/spline)"

error = X must have the same number of elements as V, and the values

i don't know how i can make the wavelength of 2nd data = wavelength of
first data set

thanks in advance !!!!!!!!
