In IDL v1.0 there used to be an option for printing the high or low value
in the smallest closed contour, along with an H or L. I think that
reflected RSI's meteorlogical roots, being similar to NCAR graphics.

Has anyone programmed this in new IDL (v3.0)? I can see how it would work
conceptually, but I'm looking for a shortcut.

Also, if anyone has references to neural net code in IDL, please include me
in your list.
