Folks,

This has nothing to do with IDL, except that IDL books
and teaching mostly paid for it, but the youngest has
just informed me he is gradating from college tomorrow.
(We didn't know until a couple of days ago whether we
were planning a "congratulations" or "nice try" party.
We were awaiting a grade in a required statistics course.)

It prompts me to consider this measure of parental success:
three kids through college in the same total amount of time
it took me to get a bachelor's degree. God, I miss the
60s sometimes! :-)
