Okay, now this is awkward. I am - and always was - aware of the single/double precision issue. But somehow I managed to make myself believe that this is just SEP (somebody else's problem - to stress a memorable idea from Douglas Adams).

Okay, so I'll tell our IT guy to double the RAM on our machines. Climate scenario analysis takes its toll. :)
