OPLOT is basically designed to add additional plot lines or symbols
to an existing 2-D line plot.

PLOTS will plot symbols or lines in any coordinate system (data,
normalized, or device) and in 3-D. It also will take a vector
argument for COLOR, and I think OPLOT does not.
