Hi Folks,

Here are some new articles/tips that I have added to my IDL
Programming web page in the past three weeks. Thanks to
those of you who have offered suggestions and corrected
some of my more blatent mistakes. If your favorite tip is
not on here, please contact me and I'll add it to my on-going
list.

* Using Colors in IDL
-- How do I plot in colors on a 24-bit display?
-- How come XLOADCT doesn't work on my display?

* Creating Perfect PostScript Output
-- How can I just dump the contents of an IDL graphics
window to a PostScript file?

* Image Processing Tips
-- How do I build a frequency domain filter for my image?

* Graphics Display Tips (2D)
-- How do I create a graphic with a specified aspect ratio?

* File Input/Output Tips
-- How do I create a color JPEG file from a 2D image?
-- How do I create MPEG movies in IDL?

* String Processing Tips
-- Is there a way to calculate a string's size in IDL?
-- How can I make a string a specified width?

* Miscellaneous Tips
-- How do I delete or undefine a variable?

I'm going to take a couple of weeks off. As an exercise, I am going to
see if I can go at least one week without touching my computer. :-)
