Short answer: Yes.

Some details:

I've been using IDL 4.0.1 on NT 4.0 for the last couple of weeks
without any big problems. However, at RSI they told me that IDL had not
been released for NT 4.0 specifically. I haven't noticed any problems
though. (Other than that nasty long name business, which will hopefully
be resolved in IDL 5.0.)

Since coming from the Unix world, I have noticed that sessions will
"lock up" far more frequently on my PC vs. Unix. This is usually while
doing widget programming. But I don't know if this is an IDL4.0.1 on
NT4.0 problem, or a PC problem in general.
