Hey all,
One of the more frustrating things about 8.1 that I've experienced is crashes related to X11 (I'm using a Mac).
I'll be happily programming along, plotting this and that, when eventually, randomly, when plotting something (the same commands I've been using), IDL freezes (I get the italicized IDL prompt). I can't close an X11 windows, and the only thing I seem to be able to do is quit X11, which then crashes IDL.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas floating around to get around or fix this?
Thanks!

Yep same behavior here. OS 10.7.2, IDL 8.1.

In my limited testing, this appears to work. Thanks!
