Set aside a couple of weeks when you have no hope
of making any money and have nothing better to do. :-(

P.S. The indenting is pretty important. You have to be
anal about it. I would get a template of a program you
know has got this right and use this religiously. This
was the most tedious part of the conversion for me,
since I also want to be able to read the documentation
in the file, and I wanted that to look nice.

The other thing that really slowed me down was fixing
all the documentation that was obviously wrong, now that
I had a chance to actually read it. :-(

David (and Mike),

The IDLDoc documentation looks great, and I am almost ready to switch my own programs to rst format (even though the documentation is slightly less readable when looking at the original file). Thanks for doing this. Do have any tricks to minimize the work involved in converting from the standard IDL documentation to rst? --Wayne

No, I don't think so. The labeling on cgDCBar is different,
for one thing, and it probably has different roles to
play. :-)

There were some one-line scripts created to do some format conversions
on documentation with the introduction of IDLdoc 3.0:

These can't be used directly to convert from IDL template style to
IDLdoc rst style, but maybe they will provide some direction for
creating scripts to help the process along. I imagine that some manual
fixing up is going to be necessary in any case.
