Visual Numerics is going to offer a product _similar_ to the RSI (IMSL/IDL)
product not replace it.

The contract ends middle of this year, I understand.

PVI had a product called NAG (from Numerical Algorithms Group) that
could be called from PV-wave. IMSL integrated the IMSL math libraries
into IMSL/IDL.

The salespersons told me the following concerning the merger:
* PV-wave will continue to exist as a product.
* IMSL/IDL will turn into a product called PV-wave-plus, which
will include the integrated IMSL math and stat libraries.

I don't know what will happen to the NAG and GT-GRID add-ons.

They claim that a Solaris 2.1 port will be available in April (at
least that's what the ship date on our contract says). I would
hope that any existing product covered under maintenance will be
updated to Solaris 2 as well, but I didn't ask that question of
the salesperson.
