Hi dear IDL users,

I have a 4D data pool (x,y,z,concentration) which represents a
transport trajectory of an air plume. I am imaging to do a 3D plot
with 3 axises as x,y,z and use color to show concentration. The
difficulty is the conc is actually for a 3D cell not the junctions, so
it's like the difference between 2D scatter plots and contour plots.
This won't be a problem if the data resolution is great, but I don't
have. Any suggestion?

Another idea is plotting a slice at a certain x or y position and show
the conc on a cross section. I have seen people done this but don't
know how.

I would be happy to hear anything to both methods, thanks.
