how to align the position of the absorption line for different files at one single postion [message #80367]

Hi all,
I have a problem, I have an absorption line which occurs at
different positions for different files. I have to align those centre
of the absorption line at a particular position in order to do
wavelength calibration for all files. I have to do this in a loop.
Please let me know if you have some suggestions or any idl routines
for this purpose.
