TIA for reading this,
I have an IDL proceedure that opens about 18 files at once. Under
Windows NT, IDL can't "find" and compile new proceedures once these
files are openend. If I close one file (any one file) IDL can now
magically find and compile new proceedures. I assume that I am
running in to a FILES=20 sort of limit in NT (18 of my files along
with a std-in and a std-out or two that IDL must use to communicate
with the user). Is this an IDL constraint or a Win NT constraint?
In either case what is the solution (please do not recommend
opening fewer files)?
Thanks again,
