Redisplaying Large Images in WIDGET_DRAW (PIXMAP ?) [message #811]

I am working on an application,where I would like to redisplay
a large image, after changing a plot overlay in a draw widget.
TV works but takes forever. Since the image must be stored
in a pixmap somewhere (I assume scrolling is implemented this
way) there must be a way to recopy this pixmap back to the
display window. Right ?

Can anyone give me a hint on how to approach this problem.
