Hi Vincent
In my quest to find out where the Docs Center was announced, I've discovered Mark Piper's blog:

I don't follow Twitter posts, so I wouldn't have seen those announcements. However, I have been unable to find the hundreds of messages. Where do I find these?

Not so old, only two weeks and hundred of messages, tweets, blog posts :-)
But It's hard sometime to change the way of working, so it might be a good reminder !
