hi...

I'm trying to read in ascii data generated by SUN fortran
& IDL 3.6.1 readf command comes up against

input line is too long for input buffer.

complication:...I only get this error when the file
is brought over on a mac before arriving on the
pc....does this transfer not include a LF or CR?

is there a end-machine solution or will I have
to re-transfer all files?

any help/thoughts/comments appreciated.
