Ah, yes. The variable name "image" has also been appropriated.

Ah - problem solved. I tried some other approaches to avoid the problem and suddenly IDL found the error for me.

I have used "list" as a variable and this turned blue after I changed something else and I had to look up "list" in IDL help. The function LIST was introduced in version 8.0...

So now I've changed the variable name and it works fine again in all versions.

Pressed the wrong key too quickly here and posted before I had finished...

The case is that I tested to see whether the information to fill the list was still there and added a 'res=dialog_message...' and the information was there (N_ELEMENTS(xenery) was larger than 1), and suddenly the list also were filled.
When incativating the res=dialog_message... I'm back to the situation where the list is not filled....

This makes no sense to me.

Can anyone help?
