If you're on Mac, you can use MacDropAny and create a symbolic link in
your Dropbox folder that points to your IDL library in every machine.
Works perfectly!

I use dropbox with synkron. When I'm done working on one machine, I sync (synkron) my working directory with my dropbox directory. Before I start work on another machine, I sync first, then get to work. It allows me to control exactly which files are worth syncing (and distributing).

I just make a project out of the IDL folder in the dropbox. Works great.
Cheers,
