OK, found a fix to this codec mess. Just follow the instruction of "Replacing the FFmpeg Version" in the document. The instruction is a bit outdated in terms of version numbers. You need to download ffmpeg-1.2-win64-shared.7z from http://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com. Back up the original dlls (avcodec-54.dll
avformat-54.dll avutil-52.dll swscale-2.dll), replace them with the ones from the downloaded ffmpeg-1.2. Boom, we are good now. And enjoy the bubbleplot!
