I usually build a "layer" object (just a container) that I add graphical
objects to. When the Draw method of the layer object is called, it first
checks to see if its "visible" property is set. If so, it calls the draw
methods of the graphical objects inside it. If not, nothing is drawn.
This allows me to turn on and off groups of graphical objects, as I
desire.
Cheers,
David

I'm not sure I understand why you can't simply use the HIDE = 0/1 property for each ROI or ROIGroup. Is it setting the property that is the issue for you? Or is it connecting a menu action with the show/hide property?
