I just got my pre-release of IDL5.0 in the mail today! I haven't had a
chance to install and play, and unfortunately won't for a bit....

Just thought I'd let y'all know that they are shipping. Has anyone had
a chance to play with it at all?

Later,
Phil

Yeah, we figured that out after reading the letter which made the
claim that NO LICENSE MANAGER was needed, but we kept getting the
7 minute demo.

Thanks anyway for the tip.

If you check the installation notes, they tell you to use:
unsetenv LM_LICENSE_FILE
first, and this works.
