Hi,
I have an issue on IDL for Windows, where the command history does not store any recent commands. Checking into the problem I noticed that I have a number of stale idl_engine.exe processes running. These should have been shut down automatically when the workbench these processes were attached to were closed. This is on v8.2.3, but I have had this problem with other versions as well. Are the two phenomena related? Is anyone else having these issues?
Cheers,
Haje

I've noticed that when IDL dies (or I have to kill it behind Workbench's back), none of the command history from that session appears the next time I start up IDL. I don't know if the entire session history is only saved as part of Workbench's normal exit process (instead of incrementally thru' the session), or whether something gets corrupted. It might be related to what you're seeing.
