image(/buffer) & colorbar result in seg fault [message #85412]

Hi everybody,

in idl 8.0.1 on a Solaris x86_64 machine and in 8.1 on a windows x86_64
machine, I am experiencing a segmentation fault when executing the
following:

i = image(/TEST, /RGB_TABLE, /BUFFER)
cb= colorbar()
i.close

This only occurs when both /BUFFER is set, and the colorbar is plotted (
no matter whether I set TARGET=i ). Is it me, or a bug?
Can I avoid this problem by just letting i run out of scope?
