Eric,
The IDL online help libraries are "compiled" on both the Windows and
Solaris platforms as far as I know. The only way you can add to them is
make a complete textual copy (say, for an HTML editor) and distribute
that.
Apart from being labourious, I think this file would be very large
(probably a factor of 10ish above the current size of 15MB approx) - the
reason it's distributed by RSI as it is.
No good news there (as far as I know) I'm afraid.
