Hello everybody !

I have a problem with the license file of my IDL. I'm running it through Mac OS, and I run the 8.3 version. When I launch my IDL, it returns me :

% LICENSE MANAGER: Invalid license file syntax.
Feature: idl
License path: /Applications/exelis/license/license.dat:/Applications/exeli
s/license/*.lic:
FlexNet Licensing error:-2,413. System Error: 2 "No such file or
directory"

Does any of you have any idea of what's wrong ? Is it possible I post my license so maybe people can see what's wrong ?

Thanks !

Sylvain

Hi,

have you checked if the license is really here and readable?

/Applications/exelis/license/license.dat

If the licence is there, you should probably write to Exelis directly.

Cheers

Yep the license is here ! I'm pretty sure that the problem is consistent with the hostID or hostname but not really sure

You can log into your account at exelisvis and get a clean copy of your license file. If that does not work try their tech support.

I faced with syntax error in lic file sometime ago.

May be your problem is differ from mine, but check it.

My problem was that the license file has been stored encoded Windows where a carriage return different from Linux - the problem "CR-LF". The lic file was updated by mail software.
