Hello IDL Wizards,
Using IDLWAVE on a new machine, I see my command-line history is saved to
/home/ehyer/.idlwave/idlwhist
While I can go into .emacs and change the amount of history that this file contains, I cannot find any location to change the file itself.
And the behavior has changed: I am accustomed to IDLWAVE saving a history associated with a specific Emacs instance. I can 'exit' and restart IDL within that instance, and my history will not go away. But if I open a new Emacs window and start IDLWAVE within it, I get a new history.
On this new machine, there is one history, that stays for all time, over all instances. Since the thing I most often do with the history is go back to the start and run through the initializations, this is not the behavior I want.
Any ideas on how I can get IDLWAVE to go back to its old behavior, of creating a new history file each time a new instance of Emacs is opened?
