All,

I really want to add a chapter to the ebook on using the eclipse extension pydev
(http://pydev.org/). I started working my way through the installation but it was a bit more painful than I had hoped. I'm hoping that one of our brilliant IDL users on this group have figured it out and would like to help me add a chapter?

thanks!

Hi Ronn,

when I started learning python I also directly tried pydev because I
like eclipse and I was used to it thanks to IDL. It is really easy to
install on linux. What is your problem exactly?

On windows the install had a lot of extra steps and I am hoping that someone on the NG has worked through the details. I am sure it is possible, but one other person also told me that he gave up installing it on windows.
