Hello,

I recall a long while back there is a note from someone (I can not find that comment anymore) mentioned that mpfitfun.pro from Craig Markwardt does not support complex data set? Is this true?

I didn't exactly bring it up as a problem, more as a mistake I had made and what the symptom was...

And it was mpfit, not mpfitfun.

MPFIT does least squares minimization on real numbers, not complex numbers. What do you expect to be minimized in the complex domain? (I think I know the answer, but maybe I don't make the same assumptions as others.)
