IMSL won't load [message #90637] Thu, 19 March 2015 12:43 Go to next message

Hi everyone,

I recently added the Analyst license to give me access to the IMSL routines. However, when I try to use them I get this error:

% MATHSTAT_135: Dynamically loadable module is unavailable on this platform:
IMSL.

The license server does seem to see the license -- at least, I see this when I use lmstat:

Users of idl_analyst: (Total of 1 license issued; Total of 0 licenses in use)

Any ideas?

-Jeremy.

What is your platform? IMSL is not available on OS X and Intel Solaris (see the IDL Feature Support table in the docs).

Lajos

Yes, it's OS X. Thanks.

Hey Jeremy,
Just out of curiosity, which IMSL routines were you interested in using? We're always looking to enhance core IDL functionality...

In this case, IMSL_ERF with the /INVERSE keyword, though I've certainly run into times before when I've wanted to use other IMSL routines (I don't remember which off-hand), which is why I got the Analyst license.
