Hello,

I have read a MODIS imagen HDF_EOS format using hdf_open and I have gotten the Grid Map Projection Information following http://www.idlcoyote.com/map_tips/eosgrid.php

Afterwards I do some computations with the MODIS band and derive a product.

I now need to save that product. I have tried GEOTIFF but I get completely lost. I have also tried Hdf but I do not know how to include the projection information (same than the original image of course)

I would really appreciate some tips. I have being all day reading information around this but I have not being able to fix my problem and I am very frustrated.

Many thanks,

Marta

I can believe it! Unfortunately, I don't think there are any non-
frustrating answers. :-(

I'm guessing your best bet would be your GeoTiff option. That way you
only have to spend a week or two poking around in the GeoTiff specs. The
EOS_GD way leads through miasmatic swamps. Travelers there have gone
missing for decades. Good luck!

Cheers,

David

I just stumbled onto this, which seems appropriate for this topic:

Hello David. I was just hoping to have some tips to move a bit faster on this matter (I need to present some results on a project meeting next week) or I though somebody would have made it before and could provide me with an example.
OK, I will see what can I do! I am always optimistic when I start a new day.
Thanks,
Marta
