I asked here in Italy (before reading your postings), the salesman
told me it was possible to buy a runtime license of IDL for something
like 900 000 Italian Lire (PC/Mac only, UNIX is more expensive).
That should be something like US$ 500 I think.

However, he also said that discount prices were available, without
specifying anything more.

He also said that the functionality etc. is the same for the runtime
license as for the normal IDL license.

He did not tell me that RSI had to embed IDL...
Is this runtime license the same as this 'embedded IDL'?
Does anybody know if they charge for doing this embedding in
addition to the runtime license?
