Sorry about the location folks. The new FAQ location is
http://ww2.sd.cybernex.net/~mgs/idl_faq.html

I am trying to get anonymous FTP access here at USGS for it, but I've
only been trying for a month so far. Being a gov't installation, I think
I can expect it to happen about the turn of the century.

Regarding the formatting, I tried posting it with YA-Newswatcher for the
Mac, which didn't like the fact that it was larger than 32K, so I tried
it with Cyberdog, which is what made it to the list. Next attempt will
be with Netscape, and depending on how that turns out, I'll probably
move on to cnews.

I checked it after I sent it and noticed the formatting. Looked like
hell to me, too. I'll try another method today.
